Welcome to “Building an Inclusive Society”! In this unit, we will learn English while talking about diversity, inclusion, interculturality and respect. We will learn that everyone is different and that these differences should be respected.
In this unit, students will learn about inclusion, diversity, interculturality and respect while practicing English. They will talk about differences, learn about other cultures and find ways to make their classroom more inclusive.

They will work with short texts, pictures, videos and simple situations related to school and everyday life. Students will learn about different cultures, traditions, abilities and ways of life.
They will also discuss situations where someone feels excluded and think about how they can help. The activities will encourage students to respect differences and understand that everyone has their own experiences and ways of thinking.
Anna is a new student at school. She comes from another country and speaks a different language at home. At first, she feels a little nervous because everything is new for her.
One day, her classmates invite her to work with them. They talk about their cultures, favorite foods and traditions. They discover that they have some differences, but they also have many things in common.
Anna feels happy because her classmates respect her and listen to her ideas.

In this unit, students will have different ways to learn and participate. They can use texts, pictures and videos to understand the topics and can show what they learned by speaking, writing, drawing or working with a partner.
Students will have enough time to understand the instructions and complete the activities. If they have difficulties, I will provide extra examples, pictures or additional help.
The main idea is to give students different options so they can participate in a way that feels comfortable for them.

Students will participate in different activities individually, in pairs and in small groups.
Different but Together
Students will read short situations about inclusion at school. Then, they will discuss how the person feels, identify the problem and suggest ways to help.
Our Inclusive Society
Students will create a small poster with ideas about how to make their classroom a more inclusive place. They will write simple sentences in English and share their ideas with the class.
Different Ways to Participate
Students can speak, write, draw or work with a partner. This gives everyone the opportunity to participate in a way that feels comfortable for them.
